Rutland Youth Group was founded with the goal of empowering young individuals for a brighter tomorrow. We specialize in youth leadership development, organizing community service projects, and celebrating the uniqueness of each individual. Our passion for guiding and supporting the youth drives us to provide a nurturing environment where young people can grow, learn, and make a positive impact on their communities.

We aim to create a dynamic and engaging environment with a flexible meeting structure that includes time for games, group discussions, quarterly projects, and planning for upcoming events. Below is a typical meeting breakdown.

Although the youth group is primarily managed by elected teen officers, we highly encourage parents to volunteer and participate.

Rutland Youth Group, supported by the First Congregational Church in Rutland, is a welcoming community organization for students in grades 7 through 12 from Rutland and surrounding towns. We promote values of honesty, friendship, and acceptance, and we stand firmly against racism, sexism, and bullying of any kind.

Every three months we vote for teen officers:

• President - Sets agenda and coordinates activities
• Secretary – Takes notes and keeps a record of decisions
• Treasurer – Keeps track of finances and reports on progress
• Communications Officer – Sends notices, responds to emails, and promotes social media
